Dr Joel Gill Awarded Geological Society’s Coke Medal

We are pleased to share that Dr Joel Gill, Co-CEO of Geology for Global Development (GfGD), has been awarded the Coke Medal by the Geological Society. This honour recognises geoscientists for their contributions to the science and significant service to the geoscience community.

Joel’s leadership and commitment to advancing geoscience in support of sustainable development have been central to GfGD’s work since its foundation. This award reflects his ongoing dedication to collaborative approaches that strengthen the role of geoscience in addressing global challenges.
